Amina Al-Mahdi is a young Saudi Arabian Muslim woman whose life changes upon enrolling at York University. After a year in provincial Ontario, Canada, Amina returns to Saudi Arabia for the summer. When her plane unexpectedly goes down, Amina finds herself on a desert island and clashes with the only other survivor of the crash. Achilles Stephenson, proud son of Jamaica and Seneca College student appoints himself the ruler of the island. In the name of survival, Achilles and Amina are forced to join forces, and an unexpected romance blooms between them. Love between such a hot-blooded pair is far from easy.
