Essays of the joys of motherhood and spirituality.

Elizabeth Barkeley lovingly expresses the joys and demands of raising a family with love and spirituality. Her insights remind me of Gift from the Sea by Ann Murrow Lindberg. Full of short essays about things like accepting a permanently changed "mommy body" to precious interactions with her daughters. In the forward of the book, she says that she doubts that non-christians will appreciate this book, but I am and I loved it. It's because motherhood and treasuring your children transcends particular religions.
