It's hard to stop reading this one

"Love's Second Sight" is a great, imaginative story based on stanzas contained in medieval Icelandic texts "The Vinland Saga, the "Greenlander's Aga" and "Saga of Erik the Red." Thorgunna must rule an island as a woman in an era where men are in charge. At the same time, she is agonized by Loki, the God of Lies -- trapped between the old gods and the Christ. It's easy to see why this book has garnered so many great reviews. There is top-notch writing throughout, a compelling storyline and an ending that will have your heart pounding. I will look forward to more from Darragha Foster. Recommended.

EXCELLENT BOOK

Love's Second Sight is a book that is brilliantly written by Ms. Foster. It is the story of Thorgunna, the Jarl of the island of Tiree and Leif Eriksson, the Norse explorer. Thorgunna has The Second Sight. In her visions she meets a Viking who will lay claim to her heart. Her vision comes to pass and the man in her dreams arrives on the island of Tiree. From the very first meeting, the two forge a blinding love that will be tested by many different oppositions. Thorgunna not only has the challenge of being a woman an ruling an island in a place in time when men rule, but she also has Loki the evil God of Lies tormenting her. Loki wants Thorgunna body and soul and will go to great lengths to have her. He has his own agenda for Thorgunna's island. Leif has his own set of obstacles. He is torn between fulfilling his mission for his father, his king and his God and fulfilling his own hearts desire of building a life with Thorgunna. I don't wish to give away any spoilers but I would recommend this book to anyone who loves historicals, paranormals or romances that are all consuming and will stand the test of time. This is a fast paced read that has something for everyone. It will definitely go on my keeper shelf.

A Must Read !!

This is one well written, fast paced story ! I was easily able to visual the places and people. The story line was interesting, fast paced and the characters well developed. I highly recommend this book.

A wonderful, well written novel!

The story line was fast paced and captivating. Steamy and erotic! The characters were strong and well developed. Ms. Foster made me care about what happened to them. By the time I got to the second half of the book, I couldn't put it down. I was up reading until 3:00 am, with a flashlight, so as not to disturb my sleeping husband. Hard to believe that this was Ms. Foster's first novel - I'll be waiting impatiently for the next......

My sister's book

Even if D. Foster wasn't my sister, I'd still write the same things about the book. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down! Thorgunna and Leif found true love in each other and I felt like I was right there with them sharing in their adventures. I would like to see a second book come out telling about their life together.
