Love's Journey is the story of two head strong individuals who fall in love despite their initial distaste for each other. There love affair is set against the backdrop of the American West immediately after the Civil War, when the territories were filled with adventurers who had left civilization and traveled to the frontier to seek their fortunes. Kate Madison, barely out of her teens, sets out from New York to find her father who had deserted the family for Colorado. Sam Brady, a veteran of the civil war, had chafed at a gentleman's education and has been devastated by the knowledge of his illegitimacy. Kate and Sam's paths cross at a ball where they instantly detest each other. This changes when Sam is called upon to rescue Kate from a predatory employer and they travel West together. Through their long journey filled with shared adventures, their love grows until a freak accident separates them. Each believing the other is dead, they build separate lives until fate decrees they meet again in a showdown destined to tear them apart forever... or join them again in love at long last.
