Quiet, lulling, beguiling, and shocking, the poems in this collection explore the essential world of all things sensual. Reality is dissected in all its complex, tragic, and surreal forms. Playful and gruesome metaphors return again and again to themes of fire, ocean, moon, blood, and love. In sharply visioned images, the ironies of travel, the nonsense of religious exclusion and inclusion, and the politics that govern the world are explored.
Poetry that touches the heart. Sometimes painful, mainly universal, and reminding us how human we all are. She delivers a very honest experience. A book which resonates differently with each read.

wow! What a book! This was throughly amazing. Mundair doesn't waffle getting straight to the point, yet with eloquent and throughly interesting content. The immigrant experience is dealt with sensitively yet with an ability to shock, through love, hate and the confusion of 'where is home' and 'who am i?' Even if you are a new comer to South Asian literature I suggest a read.
