Life brings forth opportunities for us to experience pain. Purposeful pain. I believe it causes us to repeatedly break our own hearts, until we understand what is needed to keep it together. Whole and unbreakable. What are your deepest, yet truest desires? What truly makes you happy? I've learned that it has nothing to do with another human being, but all to do with self. When you learn the value and see the beauty of loving yourself, you'll understand that everything you seek outside of you is already within. Like a plant, it just needs to be nourished and nurtured in a unique way, because none of us are the same. And if we choose to neglect the love that needs to flow within us, it will die. And we will repeat the cycle of looking for it outside of ourselves, in other people, who may not know what love is. We're simply mirrors of one another, projecting the pain that no one wants to hold on to. But, until we heal it, it is ours to keep. I have no fear of pain. I've taught myself how to transmute it into power. The power of loving and knowing oneself, the power of detachment, and the power of choice. And I chose to keep my bruised heart open and explore the possibilities of love on every level, whether for a day or forevermore. It makes no difference. I want to bask in its glory whether I'm alone, with many men, or just one lover. I want the passion to lead me astray and allow my intuitive heart to lead me back home. To sanity. To me. Regardless of if it's love, sex, or heartbreak, I choose to keep it on repeat.
