Very Good Comical Book except...

Paris,Tx is not anywhere near Houston. It's 3 hour north east of Dallas. Yeah I saw the error quick. Other than that, I could not put this book down for laughing. Good easy imaginative Read. As some as the author corrects the error, I'll give him my casting suggestions because I could see this as a movie. Call Lifetime!!!

Read in between the lines

I originally read Love on the Dotted Line in hardback, but when it was re-released in paperback, I found myself reading it again. This award winning playwright has transposed his writing skills into book format by penning an entertaining book filled with comedy and romance. Morgan Chase finds out that her boyfriend, Marcus Alexander, isn't as committed to her as she is to him. Morgan devises a document where any potential mate will have to sign, guaranteeing their fidelity. If by some reason, he doesn't live up to the agreement, she has legal rights to take him to court. What happens from there will have you eagerly turning the pages.

Contractual Love

In his latest novel, Love on the Dotted Line, David E. Talbert uses humor and wit to explore the issue of infidelity. Morgan Montgomery, a successful contract lawyer, is reveling in her relationship with Marcus Alexander. On her birthday, she expects to receive an expensive gift she sees hidden in his closet but instead she sees her jewelry on the arm of one of Marcus' other women. Dejected and depressed, Morgan's friends take her out and in a drunken stupor she comes up with the idea of creating a contract (complete with terms, conditions, and consequences) that a man must sign insuring his fidelity in exchange for mind blowing sex. Initially the contract was just a product of her venting, but she soon meets Charles Sealant, a charming "pre-owned" car salesman, and gets him to sign on the dotted line. When she feels that Charles is in breach of contract, what ensues is a hilarious; drama filled situation that almost puts Jerry Springer to shame. David E. Talbert has penned a witty, well written novel that sheds a different light on the expectations that men and women have in relationships and their views on infidelity. Although at times the story was predictable, it flowed well and kept me intrigued up until the end. The main characters were completely believable and I especially enjoyed how the secondary characters, Morgan's friends: Altima, Ophelia, and Andre added to the story. Overall, Love on the Dotted Love is an enjoyable read that I would recommend to anyone looking for a light, entertaining, yet discussion-prompting read. Funny, novel yet entertaining

Well, I tell you; this is quite a novel twist; You have this sister attorney Morgan, who has relationships and are tired of the regular predictability; At the advice of her fellow attorney(and nemesis)Ophelia, she sets up a "love contract" guaranteeing the best sex in return for faithfulness; Ok. She then meets a car salesman, who wines and dines her, takes her to Paris for a day, and in the heat of the moment, signs the contract, because after all, "he was thinking with one of his heads, and if it was a paper for his grandmomma's execution, grandma would have come up short". After a whirlwind romance that falls unexpectedly yet predictably short, Morgan gets him to see the error of his ways, which he doesn't, and takes him to court for "breach of contract". the results of that alone is worth it;
