I had a copy of this as a child, given me by a favourite aunt who was a children's libarian. I am a child of the 70s and this book is also very much a child of the 70s. I haven't seen it in some time (although I know it's on a bookshelf somewhere). I remember beautiful illustrations (pen-and-ink? coloured pencil?) of gorgeous tigers and flowers. The story itself was about a tiger and a flower who fall in love with each other, despite the nay-saying of all their peers. The two follow their hearts, and together become something new and wonderful.
