What a Twisty Ride!

Talk about one twisty dark story! Gotta feel for Mackenzie, still reeling after the death of her mother, which may or may not have been an accident. And though her mother had been distant and famous for all of Mackenzie's life, it would be like being hit by truck to get those letters which turn everything upside down. It did kind of have a slow start and took a bit to connect with Mackenzie, once the letters arrived and truths about the best selling books her mother wrote and which may have been taken from real life experiences, I was hooked! It just gets twistier and twistier from there until I couldn't put it down. It really turns everything on its head and made this story really great! I really did like the comparisons between the books and what really happened, diving into the past of several characters which kept me guessing what the truth was. It certainly was shocking and not what I expected but it ends satisfactorily with a kind of justice and I enjoyed the ride along with Mackenzie and her friend to find the truth before it was too late. I am glad I got the chance to read this and look forward to reading more from this author.
