Love Me is part murder mystery, part psychological profile, and part social commentary.Working in a fraudulent economic industry, Sophia was summarily fired one Friday afternoon during the economic implosion at the end of the George W. Bush Administration. Her boss, Samantha Dowie, a respected figure in the industry, turns out to be exceptionally adept at financial misdirection, and unabashedly polyamorous. Samantha's husband and colleague, Chuck, is later killed, perhaps after some sex game, and Sophia, an accomplished competitive skeet shooter in her younger days, becomes a suspect. Throughout, she struggles to maintain her equilibrium and raise her teenage daughter as her own financial situation deteriorates to the point of despair. She finally engages in a swindle of her own, turning the tables on Samantha. Events are set in Maine and Mexico.
