As a child, my grandmother would often tell me, "Dont cry over that (insert lost thing here), it's all water in a basket." As I matured, I found my voice and often my sense of emotional safety within my many journals. Love... Like Water in a Basket is a compilation of love poems. Some pieces are inspirational, others offer a glimpse into some of my deepest heartbroken moments. While composing every poem I have shared, I have asked myself if the love is worth fighting for, or if it is all water in a basket.
