Beautiful and Inspiring

I adore this book, and the theme behind it. As a romantic at heart and as one of those girls that would love to believe in true love, this book confirms to me that it is actually possible to find your soul mate. Now I'm not saying this book is for the people that want to read about happily ever after's, because in reality most of these love letters are dated and back when Beethoven was in love with the imfamous "Immortal Beloved" people didn't always get to have a happily ever after. The letter's are more based on the Romeo and Juliet scenario. You find your true love but you are destined to forever be apart. However, those facts do not take away from the remarkable truth that these letter's were written by real people for real people, and while reading them you can find yourself trasported to that place and time, and feel just as loved and adored.

Wonderful Love Letters in a Beautiful Book

Wonderful collection of love letters. The book itself is beautiful with the old fashioned quill and rose on the front cover. The interior is just as pretty. The names appear to be calligraphy, but it's regular print. I was especially excited to see the letters are the originals. They are not put in modern terms. I'm going to have to order another one since my friend borrowed it and she won't bring it back to me.

Fabulously Beautiful Love Letters

Great collection of beautiful love letters from famous men and women. I wish men would still write letters like this. The book itself is a beautiful package with graceful fonts, and I was thrilled to see that this edition is not rephrased versions of the originals but it is the exact words written by the famous people, such as: Ever Thine Ever Mine Ever Ours

Simply Amazing

Like most I bought this book because I assumed is was the one from the Sex and the City movie. I don't think it is, but it's an amazing book all the same. The authors' writing is so beautiful, and the choice of letters reveal so much about the historical figures that wrote them. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance and artful writing. I'm sure this will be a book I read over and over.

This edition includes all of the letters from the Sex and the City movie plus a lot more. Great collection.
