A depressed J.R. Wilson from modern-day Michigan is transported to the shores of 1st-century Galilee. He is discovered by Shem and his family, who take him in. Despite the language and cultural barriers, he learns to survive, builds a home, and falls in love with Shem's daughter, Le'a. Their union is blessed by Jesus himself, who instructs them to travel to the far reaches of the empire-Londinium-to build a community of faith.A depressed man named J.R. He meets Jesus himself, who is instrumental to moving him to the far reaches of the Empire or what will be part of the Empire Londinium, a Roman Colony that becomes modern day London. It is there that he establishes himself in the past, while wrestling with his greatest fear of altering time.
