I loved my little book and coffee shop. I'd called it The Bookworms Haven, and it was more than just a shop. It was a meeting place for likeminded bookworms like me.

I hosted book clubs and new release events, and special daytime and after school get-togethers for the children in town. After all, they were the next generation of bookworms. My life was idyllic.

That was, until disaster struck and my world burned around me - quite literally. If it hadn't been for my best friend, James, I wouldn't be lying in the hospital now, alive.

Everything I had, all that I had built up, was gone. Like always, though, there was James to pick me up. My very own knight in shining armour, straight from a romance novel.
