Oprah should review this book. I make sure every child I know has a copy of it. Love from katie by Paddy Muir is much more than a children's christmas story. It is a history lesson and a story of 2 countries that support each other whenever the chips are down. It is a very enjoyable book to read. With a few little twists to make everyone enjoy the story.Every year,Nova Scotia, Canada sends a special Christmas tree to Boston,Mass. USA. This year as Katie and her uncle search for the perfect tree, Katie learns that the reason is because while World War 1 took place, 2 of the ships carrying supplies to Europe collide. Halifax Nova Scotia was devestated. Immediately the people of new england sent supplies & help. This is Nova Scotia's way of saying thanks.
