The author has compiled a very vivid record of his many and varied experiences in the world of commercial aviation over a period of more than fifty years, starting from when he first became interested in aviation, through his training in Canada, his working years with Air Jamaica and then his move to the Civil Aviation Authority. He intertwines historical facts with a series of lively anecdotes, which are primarily humorous, sometimes educational, sometimes spicy, but in all cases he has presented them in a way designed to hold the readers' interest. The change from a relatively carefree high school environment in sunny Jamaica to the bitter cold of winter on the western Canadian prairies is taken in stride, as is his introduction to the realities of the working world on his return to Jamaica. However, the fun really starts when he recalls the various incidents, occurrences, and situations that he was either directly involved in, or that he observed, during his thirty-three years as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with Air Jamaica, the national airline, , and then his thirteen years with the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority as an Aviation Safety Inspector.
