Most Ethiopian evangelical churches divided and fight each other because of misunderstanding of Love and Unity instructed by Jesus Christ. From the understanding and direct instruction of God, his second greatest commandment is mentioned clearly in Matthew 22:39"'And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[d] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." With the said words from God we unfortunately see clear distinctions among the members of the body of Christ of the opposition of these specific directions. As Christ puts acts of apostasy is far from distant in the church. If are to be like Christ, we are to live as he did. How are we to be witness for the gospel that is Jesus Christ if we are not like him John 13:35 "Jesus said, that the world would know that we were His disciples by the love that we have for one another" To further continue we have strayed from His words. In Col. 3:14 "it says that the love is a prefect bond of unity". We can extend this by including the church as well. The whole body of the Christian church needs to accept this and repent if it is to be a witness to the gospel. We need to stand on the foundations of the simple doctrine of faith and love if we are to stand against the enemy as a united body of Christ. As Paul explains in 1 Cor. 1:12 Though Christ is not divided, His body of believers is. We are to look onto God as a body of Christ bathed in the Blood of Jesus Christ, and not against one another as enemies.
