Parts discussing mathematical theories are incomprehensible to a layperson
Published by Eila , 7 days ago
There were some interesting parts, but the narrative structure is not effective and I did not find Frenkel to be adept at explaining much of the mathematical material at a level accessible to a layperson. The lack of accessibility makes his concluding statement about math as a uniting force very hollow given that he cannot present mathematical theory in a way that is understandable to probably 60-70% of the world's population.
