Lost Rhythm

"Lost Rhythm" narrates the voyage of a young, educated girl, Mahua, who got married at the tender age of 13 to a lawyer in an affluent family in the early 20th century. It is also about the tale and blooming of a naive and vivacious soul in the background of a rural West Bengal village in the pre-independence era, who nurtured dreams like any other damsel of her age, but got transformed under the harsh weather of societal pressure.
It is my sincere attempt to present the intricate issue sensitively. However, I would clarify that it does not bear any similarities to any individual. The book's cover is one of my creations.
My life partner, Col. Anup Kumar Sahoo (Retd.), has always encouraged me to pursue my passion. My children, Shashwat and Sanket have been a constant source of inspiration to me. I would like to thank Shashwat for helping me in publishing the novel.
