Lost In The Woods

By Brittany Nikolai

Brittany and her little brother, Nathan, are bored at home when they decide to set off on an adventure into the woods. But as they explore deeper among the trees, the familiar path disappears-and suddenly, they cannot find their way home.

As daylight fades, the woods grow dark and the air turns cold. With no way out, Brittany and Nathan gather leaves and curl up together beneath the trees, hoping someone will find them. Meanwhile, their worried parents are searching everywhere for their missing children.

Lost in the Woods began more than thirty years ago, when Brittany Nikolai wrote the story as a first-grade student and won a Young Authors Award for it. Now, three decades later, she has brought her childhood story back to life with illustrations, turning it into a published book for a new generation of young readers.
