Lost In The System

Being a child in foster care can have many challenges. My story describes some challenging experiences that I have had to overcome throughout my life. I faced constant rejection, a very unstable education, and relationship issues. This system that is in place to protect neglected and abused children clearly isn't the most effective. A lot of these challenges have left long-lasting effects on my life and impacted some of the decisions I make. Exiting care with no support has definitely been a barrier when it comes to surviving in our current society.
