It's about a young journalist who receives an anonymous message about a researcher who vanished years ago while studying a remote mangrove swamp. The case was ruled an accident, but rumors persist about a specific location deep within the reeds-a place locals call the Rift. Some describe it as a crack in the earth. Others say it looks like a doorway standing where no doorway should exist.

Determined to uncover what really happened, the journalist travels to the region and begins retracing the missing researcher's steps. What he finds is a landscape heavy with silence and half-spoken warnings. People avoid certain paths. Equipment malfunctions without reason. And at the heart of it all lies the Rift-a distortion in the world that seems less like a natural formation and more like something waiting.

As he draws closer to it, the investigation stops being just about solving a disappearance. The Rift begins to affect him-subtly at first, then in ways he cannot ignore. Time feels unstable.
