Mystery set in Ireland - beautifully written

This beautifully written first novel introduces memorable, likable characters. As you read, the descriptions make you feel like you are watching a movie. Irish legends and lore, a spark of romance, and one truly loathsome character are all set against a backdrop of lush green countryside and the rock-strewn Irish seacoast. The plots and subplots unfold as the reader easily transitions between the medieval past and the 21st century following the mystery through to a satisfying ending. Who knew there could be so much mystery in a jar of dirt. I am looking forward to Penny’s next book.
