In a journey spanning the breadth of the country, he almost freezes to death camping in Yosemite, brushes with the law on the Mexican border, and eats a few handfuls of trail mix as daily sustenance. But through all this he receives kindness and generosity from myriad strangers who, without realising it, inspire him to keep going.
