Following a career in the cultural world, where she became known for her commitment to equality, social justice and the environment, Llerena Perozo Porteiro (Vigo, 1974) changed her life drastically in 2020: She gave up her job, her apartment in Santiago de Compostela, and her urban lifestyle for a new life in rural Galicia. Since then, she has contributed to various Galician media outlets and published two novels. The Quiet Years is her first book in Spanish.
