Overhyped

The cover caught my attention first, then the storyline and the fact it was mythology-inspired. However, the execution of this book was awful. Ironically, where we need more detail to better understand the world the characters are in, the author goes into too much detail about trivial things we do not need to know nor care about. The story had potential, but unfortunately was written poorly

Undecided

The Cover Of This Book Is What Interest Me Then I Read The Synopsis. The Book Was Confusing At Times Due To So Much Information Packed In. The Writing Was Great But It Still Made The Storyline Hard To Follow.

Loved this book

I literally loved the plot, the characters, even the ending. My only complaint is that it is supposed to be a stand alone book not a trilogy. Couldn't get enough of Lore!

Loved the mythology

For the most part, I enjoyed this book. The research and the mythology incorporated was beautiful. And I liked the characters for the most part, especially Lore and Miles. Loved both of their personalities. As well as how Miles never left Lore's side. He was completely loyal and a total bad ass. There were some great aspects of the book. The writing for the first 70% just bored me. It was interesting enough to keep going but I just was left waiting for something to happen. The back and forth between Lores past and present felt extremely unnecessary. Even if it did sort of tie in towards the end, it could have been left out and it would have been fine. The ending left me a little like ok...There should have been something more. I was ok with Lore and Castor releasing their powers but ending it there just felt a little lack luster. I also had a lot more questions that were just left hanging. Overall, a good read and enjoyable for the most part.
