This study of the Lord's Prayer considers the poetic nature of the prayer, and the 12 short dialogues work well for group study sessions. If done in a group setting, participants may read parts and enjoy the dialogues as drama. The characters in the written dialogues are members of "the Reverend Howard's Sunday morning discussion group" and as they consider the Lord's Prayer conversations, arguments, conjectures, and confessions take place. Some members of the group want to study the prayer as poetry. Others prefer a different approach. The cast of characters includes people with a wide variety of backgrounds and interests. As members of the Reverend Howard's group get connected by thoughts about a common point, new ideas blossom, and group members become less isolated, and get more completely in touch with one another.
