Have yet to read the book, but understand when this place says a book is "acceptable", it means it is in very rough shape. The copy I got, I MIGHT have paid a quarter for it. The cover is disintegrating from dry rot, the page edges aren't quite as bad, in that they don't crumble to the touch, but deep yellow from age, and the previous owner left her name in several places.

So I got a "Very Good" copy for 7 bucks and when I got it, it looked like new but then I opened it and there was highlighter and permanent ink all the way to about the halfway point. Then I looked on amazon, and hAHAAHAHA it's cheaper to get a mint condition factory copy from amazon than to get this. Don't even bother.

Mixed feelings

This book pulls at so many different emotions. I couldn't stop myself from reading it once I started reading it. The ending was mind provoking.

Don’t believe the descriptions!

I bought 2 books listed as very good condition. Both had highlights on every page, it was so bad you can not read the text! The other one has the same but also has the front, back covers are so torn up you can not read the title. I am shocked at the poor quality of these books and will need to throw them in the trash! This is so disappointing!

Condition not as described

Pages were covered in a visible yellow sticky substance. Poor quality at best, sold to me as very good

Wrong version

They gave me a theater version instead, sad, :(.

Don't waste your money

The book arrived coved in writing on the inside on every page. The book is unreadable because of all the writing. It should've gone in the trash instead of being resold. Save yourself the trouble and buy new.

Excellent book.

Brilliant example of hiw a dominance hierarchy might develope in the absence of rule of law. Even my 8 year old son understood that point. Great story for all ages. I also recommend the audio version as there is a great preface about the book by the author himself.

Great story

Great book, really breaks down the characters personalities and carries your attention to the end.

Im upset.

I bought this book in very good condition and to my surprise I received a book with hilights EVERYWHERE and ink marks as well. I didn’t even know that this was something that could happen especially if I bought the book in very good condition. I’m really upset.

Sooo Good!

This was a required book for my lit class. I enjoyed it so much I regret not buying a copy. Even the kids who don't usually enjoy reading books for class enjoyed this book.

The book is awsome

No doubt this is a great read whether for school or leisure, but i will advise you, bc this book is used a lot for school purposes, so not buy one less than good condition or else it will be written in page after page in color pens markers and highlighters. Unless you don’t mind then go for the cheap one but be ready to figure out the words under the scribbles. Again great book

High School

Many of us were forced to read this novel in High School English class. I am glad I had to read this book, it made me think, but I remember it being gruesome as well!!

Okay, maybe we can’t eliminate censorship (yet...#goals), but we can celebrate Banned Books Week with gusto by reading all of the stories that someone (or someones) tried to silence, destroy, or restrict access to. Here are 50 of the most frequently banned and/or most recently challenged books, along with the "who, why, and how" of literary censorship in America.
