One of my favorite books of all time.

The voices of the main characters come through strong and with feeling. I have never read a romance book from a male point of view and this book nails it-you understand and feel greatly for Ravensley. The end left me reeling and only hoped the 2nd book would follow up.

Interesting characters.

I enjoyed this book mainly because of the well-developed characters. No one was all good or all bad, like in so many novels. I especially liked the way the author wrote different chapters from the perspectives of the three main characters, letting each one speak for him/herself, instead of the usual method of writing the entire book from one character's viewpoint. It let the reader see the story from different perspectives and explained the motivation behind the characters' actions.
