Loosey, Goosey, Moosey, and Willy the Weasel: Room at the Lunch Table

By Elizabeth Licha Rivera

When Goosey's lunch suddenly disappears at Eden School, Loosey, Goosey, and Moosey set out to find it. Their search leads them to Willy the Weasel, a new student who made a wrong choice because he was feeling lonely and did not know how to ask for help.

The three friends do not ignore what Willy did-but they also do not shame him. With kindness, honesty, and help from their trusted teacher, Ms. Pixley, Willy tells the truth, returns the food, apologizes, and discovers that there is room for him at the lunch table.

Set in the colorful Town of Soiree, Room at the Lunch Table is a heartfelt children's story about friendship, inclusion, forgiveness, accountability, and looking beyond someone's behavior to understand what may be happening inside their heart.

Perfect for families, classrooms, counselors, churches, and educators who want to help children learn:

- How to welcome someone new
- Why telling the truth matters
- How to apologize and make things right
- The difference between kindness and excusing a wrong choice
- How sharing and inclusion can change someone's day

Sometimes a child who is hurting makes the wrong choice. Kindness and truth can help them find a better one.

Make room at your table. There is room for us all.
