Loopy Hearts Book: Heart and Shape Drawings with Automatic Writing

This is the third book in the Loop Drawing Book Trilogy.

Drawing loops helped to heal the artist. Through a relentless process of drawing repetitive loops, he eventually found a higher and alternate path out of a seemingly endless cycle of negativity.

This book contains many examples of pen and watercolor drawings, paintings, and illustrations that are truly meant to possess a real inherent beauty. Hearts made with loopy lines along with flowers made out of diamond shapes are illustrated in these vivid and brightly colored renderings. Also, an interesting, expressive, and relatively obscure means of using the English language called "Automatic Writing" is presented in a style and manner specific to this individual artist.

"At the time when this book was being created, I was involved with someone who I thought that I felt a certain way about. Drawing loopy hearts and diamond shaped flowers was a reflection of my own experience of rejoicing in the beauty of another person's spirit."

"Drawing these loops kept things out of my head that I didn't want in there, such as negative, weird, and skewed perceptions of the world which didn't correspond to my own level of cool. Doing these loops kept me in motion so that I could be at the right place at the right time to say the right thing in more situations than one. When everything involved in that relationship actually did finally come down to one split second decision that I had to make in one moment (which was unfair in itself), I felt relieved in knowing that I would finally find freedom through having made the right choice."

The book is a significant example of automatic writing in general. This artist's take on a writing technique which involves letting another force or higher power take control of the pen is significant to those who appreciate automatic writing itself. Other examples of this spontaneous technique of writing have emerged in the work of a number of artists and writers throughout the course of history. Automatic writing is an unconventional way of writing down words and thoughts which, @yessickart thinks, can facilitate the breaking of sexual tension. This technique has worked for the artist as a way to find peace in any situation using pen and paper.

The automatic words are, perhaps, also a manifestation of a higher order that is conveyed in the automatic writing process. @yessickart uses unusually written and often misspelled words that are scrawled and scratched aggressively onto the surface of a paper with a pen creating multiple meanings within the phrases. These writings are relevant on the level of the individual author, may refer to a bigger picture of life, and at times do reflect a somewhat subtle sexual undertone.

These drawings are similar to one another for a reason. A system was used to create the drawings, so discrepancies between the drawings were intended to be limited as far as their overall form was concerned. Colorful and totally, completely beautiful and brilliantly illustrated pen and watercolor drawings/paintings of flowers and hearts cover every page. These dynamic illustrations were intentionally drawn to strengthen the will of the artist as a means of therapy. The illustrations are accompanied by this obscure, highly engaging, and truly intriguing means of communicating, which most people probably had no idea existed.

The goal was to convey a basic unity that truly exists among all people. A basic unity and commonality of the human species does exist, and not everyone is willing to accept this fact. Artists and thinkers who have developed a strong connection to this unified mass collective unconscious can tap into it at times. Manifestations of such a connection to a mass universal unconsciousness of humanity have come into existence through the work of artists, authors, and leaders throughout history. The goal of this book is to speak to this unity.
