Looking for a Leprechaun

Looking for a Leprechaun is a fun and entertaining tale of a boy who is finding who he is. He is constantly told he is not wanted and does not belong. That is, until he enters the magical world of finding a leprechaun. He believes that a leprechaun can give him the answers he seeks of where his place should be. During his journey, he sees that it is not as easy as it seems and begins to give up. Along the way, Rich, learns some valuable life lessons that so many of us, young and old, can learn from. I thought it was a beautiful story of embracing yourself and loving the way you are. Looking for a Leprechaun is vividly illustrated by the talented artist, Edixon Rodríguez. The colorful pictures are eye catching and can easily keep the youngest of readers engaged all throughout while reading. They are a perfect addition to the story. Five stars is what Looking for a Leprechaun deserves. I recommend it for readers who are between the ages of four and nine years old. I believe it would make a great placement on public library and classroom shelves. I am curious to see what other adventures author, Richard Lopez, has in store for his young readers in the future. I received a soft cover copy of Richard Lopez's Looking for a Leprechaun from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
