The fourth in a series of books designed to inspire and enrich the lives of children at Westminster Junior Primary School, this publication titled Looking After Our Fascinating Earth, gives full reign to their young voices.
Researched, written and illustrated by these young multicultural children, this project incorporates knowledge, skills and values drawn from all areas of the curriculum and fashions them into a motivating and self-esteem enhancing product.

Not only does the resulting publication enable the children to share their research findings, thoughts, ideas and perspectives with others, it also delights and informs readers in the process. Following on from a study of Child Rights and Responsibilities, these young Year 2 children researched Global Warming and brainstormed strategies to help ameliorate the deleterious effects of climate change and pollution on our planet. In so doing, not only did they acquire new skills and knowledge, but they experienced the joy of learning and were empowered by the democratic process employed.
