Loved it and shared with others

I think that this book was great for me. God showed me that I was hurting because I didn't know my father, and it was time to take some steps in the right direction to work through issues. I never thought that my anger, insecurities and more were impacted because of a lack of a father image in my life. I'm not blaming my father, but knowing that it wasn't "just the way God created me" opened my eyes and allowed me to work with Him to correct the problem. I was so blessed I shared with another friend and she loved it too. I don't think we realize how much our parents impact our lives, our beliefs, and so much more about us.

Very Powerful

Yes, this book is designed for those who believe in God. I had dealt with a deep anger for my father for never being in my life when he had every opportunity for over twenty years. This book helped me to see him as God's child and I now have a peace in this area in my life. I would and have recommended it to people who are looking for this same closure to occur.

Its like reading into your life, and learning how to move on

I have read books on how to heal emotional wounds, and this is by far, the most well written book, and is very inspiring to get up and free myself from all that has been holding me back. If anyone that has had trouble connecting to God, or even struggled with their relationship with their father, I SINCERELY recomend this book. It will not only help you, but will allow you to find, and free yourself.I can't begin to thank Mrs. Robinson for taking the time out to write such a wonderful book.

LONGING FOR DADDY engages the reader in a wonderful discourse of healing from an wounds created by an absentee father, whether this absenteeism was emotional or physical. It refers to the subject matter as "an epidemic" that plagues our society. Patterned similar to a workbook, this read provides sound spiritual guidance that ministers to the soul. The author asserts being fatherless affects every aspect of life - relations with God and others, attitudes, beliefs as well as self-identity. The book encourages the reader to look to God, who is a father to the fatherless, so that her respective journey of forgiveness coupled with healing can begin. Readers are urged to accept God as "Daddy" because he is an ever-loving, ever-present force in life that will never leave or forsake you. The Bible tells us that man and woman were created in God's image. The earthly father was intended to be God's representative. It is the paramount job of parents to be united in reflecting God's image to their children. However, when a father is absent from his daughter's life, for whatever reason, the daughter's life is tainted with an emptiness that plagues her entire being. She is tasked with creating a positive future for herself by forgetting her negative past. She is able to do this by walking in God's love and obeying his commands.
