Longing: A Book of Poems

Longing is a book of poems. I wrote them as they came to me in rare moments. They were moments that I managed to spend with myself. They are the lessons life taught me during my journey in search of my own self.The book starts with a collection on 'soul' revealing the spiritual experiences. Next comes the 'self and society' revealing the personal dreams to fly away. They are followed by 'reflections' revealing inner struggles. Finally there is a collection on 'longing' telling a story of exaltation and ecstasy mixed with pain and heartache. I wrote these poems over years, at moments of intense feelings and a rare lightness of heart. I wrote them down as the feelings descended upon me, and the verses flowed effortlessly like the flow of water in a stream. I dedicate these poems, these moments of ecstasy, these longing of the heart, to the readers, and to those musicians who might choose to sing them.
