I read Jack's book after meeting him in Prescott. He is truly a nice individual and the prime example of a tough combat soldier. His book isn't the glossed over versions of typical world war II stories. It's the gritty, down and dirty story of a soldiers time in war.
An earned five star rating for a truth filled book.

I met Jack through Hastings Books and Music the author of Long March To Nowhere. We had a book signing that day together. It was the first time I had met this man. I listened to him talk openly about his book and the reasons he felt it needed to be written. War is not pretty and after reading the book I felt it was the only way to exspress it the way that Jack has. It took courage to put down into words what the facts are about war. Young kids put into a horrific condition. Salute these men and women who keep our freedom.
