"Long Lost" is a A story about two teenagers growing up in the 90s, both of whom have grown up in very tumultuous households, with parents who lack the loving connection with their children that so many require in life. The two do not know of each other and have found themselves in different social cliques. However, through fortunate circumstances, they are able to meet and develop a connection with one another that is able to bring them out of their horrendous livelihoods. This story is about the importance of being there for one another. We are able to see the connection between human beings with one another, and with their society, grow through the novel. We see our characters interact in ways that could be seen as uncomfortable by most, but by doing so, they are able to fulfill their triumphant victory in their own quests for life. This story represents the message that even in miraculous circumstances, you are always able to confide in somebody important to you and overcome any situation.
