The journey began eleven thousand years ago when the experiment was contaminated by civilization. Their plans include eliminating ominous religions, corrupt politicians, and greedy businesses. Not surprisingly those factions are planning to destroy the group. Norm's allegiance to C.A.U.S.E. solidifies after an assault on the engaging scientist Samantha Carbell. His responses are limited until the voice shocks him out of amnesia pertaining to long forgotten dangerous abilities. The newspaperman races against the odds to rescue his new love, and salvage the world's last best chance for escaping the Long Journey Into Night.
