A Love Affair that Dreams are Made of

I could not put this book down. I was so engulfed that I read it for three nights straight. I could not wait to find out what happened next. I love the contrast of African-American men that were shown in this book and the way the author portrays that very thing that glitters is not gold. She found true love in this book instead of settling for was everyone would approve as a sure thing. I loved the book and I recommend anyone that is a lover read it.

World-class sprinter, Kelly Maxwell is the lead runner of an Atlanta, Ga. relay team, with Olympic hopes, until she takes a tumble during a training session. Kelly's injury will, at best, require a few months of rehabilitation, but has the potential to end her career. Her coach, who discovered Kelly thirteen years ago, has always taken care of her. He immediately gets her out of Atlanta, away from the press, and into a sports rehab clinic in New York. But there is trouble on the team; another sprinter is determined to replace Kelly as the top runner. Dr. Alex Hutchinson, renowned sports doctor, is confident he can get Kelly back on the track. As he begins his treatment of Kelley, he butts heads with her coach, and discovers Kelly has some disturbing secrets. But his interests are about more than her medical welfare, and Alex must be careful. He does not want the past to repeat itself. Against the doctor's wishes, Kelly returns to Atlanta and is immediately caught-up in a fatality; Kelly and her coach are key suspects. The characters, the story, the plot and the drama will pull readers in.
