Long-Distance Addiction: My Roads to Recovery

This book is based on a collection of stories that I have written. Each chapter or "Highway" will lead you through over 20 years of my long-distance addiction. The majority of the material includes ride reports of long-distance motorcycle challenges throughout the USA and Canada. It covers one-thousand-mile day-rides, extreme multi-day trips up to include the "Superbowl" of long-distance riding the Iron Butt Rally (11,000 miles in 11 days) and even a ride from Key West, Florida to the Arctic Ocean, at the top of Alaska, and back to Key West. Most of these rides were solo, me alone on the motorcycle. But several of my roads to recovery include my wife, Karen, along with other friends. Within these short narrations, I will share information about motorcycles, motorcycle accessories, apparel, riding strategies and any struggles that I faced long the way. My goal is to inform you, the reader, in an entertaining manner of what I have learned from others or from my own personal experiences on long-distance/Iron Butt riding. Hang on for the ride, it's going to be a long one!
