Loneliness: From Europe to South America

In this paper, the concept of loneliness is explored in the works of two great writers of European and Latin American literature, Albert Camus and Ernesto S bato. This work was developed thanks to a comparative analysis of The Stranger and On Heroes and Tombs where the most relevant aspects that intertwine the two works around different concepts of loneliness are mentioned. Taking into account the heroes of the works as the central axis of the analysis, this work aims to understand loneliness in the prose of these two authors through love, family, spirituality and the poetic images presented in the texts.
