A life hanging in the balance and a family torn apart--this emotionally powerful novel from New York Times bestselling author Jodi Picoult explores family secrets, impossible choices, and the limits of love. On an icy winter night, a devastating accident forces a fractured family to reunite and make a decision that will change everything. Cara, once fiercely protected by her father, Luke, carries a secret no one else knows. Her brother, Edward, is hiding secrets of his own--secrets that could shatter Cara if they come to light. Their mother, Georgie, long overshadowed by her ex-husband's obsessions, now finds his life in her children's hands. As old wounds resurface and buried secrets emerge, each family member must confront what loyalty, forgiveness, and love truly mean. With emotional depth and moral complexity, this unforgettable family drama asks what happens when the hope meant to hold a family together becomes the very thing that threatens to tear it apart.
Lone Wolf is a great story, written in Jodi Picoult's usual brilliant writing. Picoult did an amazing amount of research into wolves; their behaviors, their individual personalities and how their packs work. I found it nearly impossible to put down Lone Wolf. It has become one of my favorite Picoult novels.
