Adorable

Bought this before my son started daycare and it’s actually been really helpful. Before I leave I tell him “Llama Llama was sad when Mama left too, but she came back and so will I.” He doesn’t get nearly as upset when I leave now.

Llama llama is great!

Teaches kids so many lessons!

Love llama llama

My son loves these stories . He became a fan at 3 months old!

My young toddler loves it!

My two-year-old adores the llama llama books, and this has to be her favorite. The pictures are cute, the message is helpful (she's learning to stay at Sunday school without Mommy and Daddy), the whole thing is sweet.

If you like CAT IN THE HAT, then you'll like LLAMA LLAMA too.

Anna Dewdney has done Llama Llama well again. This excellent young childrens' book is exactly the right length for their attention span. The rhyming is the type that needs to be read aloud for the best possible enjoyment. It's a fantastic opportunity for grandparents & teachers. This is about as kid-friendly as anything produced since "Cat in the Hat" by Dr. Seuss. Very colorful, full-page, paint-on-canvas type illustrations with fast reading and page turning. The rhyming story has a message: Both school and mama can be fun for a new student. Nursery school through first grade is likely the perfect age. There are exceptions, like myself, past 60, and still delighted with all of Dewdney's books. Of course those kids you read to will enjoy "Llama Llama Misses Mama" so much you just might want to have handy the first 2 books, "Llama Llama Red Pajama" and "Llama Llama Mad at Mama". All super read-aloud books. And read my review of "Nobunny's Perfect."

Great Book!

This is another great llama story by Anna Dewdney. We have them all and are always looking forward to the next one being published. The illustrations are fabulous as well. I have given this book as a gift also, and it was a hit.

Excellent for toddlers starting school!!

The Llama Llama books are all excellent,so, of course, this is too! This book focuses on llama going to school for the first time, and missing mama llama . Once you start reading this book, you'll be amazed how accurately the author portrays llama llama's feelings as young one in unfamiliar surroundings. Llama llama is sad and isolates himself until after lunch when he begins enjoying the new experience. Of course, mama is there at the end of the day, and llama llama has a new outlook as he hugs mama llama. I highly recommend this book for anyone that has a little one anxious about beginning school!!
