A funny, slim stepfather book with plenty of kid appeal!

Poor Matt! His step-father is a klutz and a dork. Matt is SURE of it. He'd rather not have anything to do with the man, but his mother gently insists, and Matt discovers why in his own time. Kids will appreciate the humor, sensitivity, and genuine understanding Bowdish brings to this all-too-common dilemma of learning to appreciate a new parent. Dialogue rings true and the first person point of view is great.
