Another 80's book you have to get before it's out of print!

This is one of those books that were printed in the 80's that you have to get for your teenagers...especially females. This fiction give the story of a girl following changes in her family, her snobby family actually. Mother had no money. Dad has loads of cash, and brings the country girl home to live in his mansion, with all his fancy cars, tennis courts. She also has to learn to adjust to new and pretty clothes, and a nice clean loaded room. For teenagers who have the "Give Me, Give Me" syndrome, this book about taking things for granted will leave you giving your help to others. The best thing is that even with the touchy subject, the author didn't get sappy or over fluffy on emotions and over due the "I'm sorry, Daddy" cutesie dialogue. Another beloved 80's book to consider is THE SUMMER OF SASSY JO and FOURTEEN AND HOLDING.
