The inspired report in the Bible on the creation of human beings is: "God created human beings; he created them godlike, reflecting God's nature." (Genesis 1:27, TM.)
This is to say that God created us to reflect his nature, to display his virtues and perfections. He created us to reveal him.
The Master spoke on this saying, "Let me tell you why you are here. You're here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. (Matthew 5:13,14, MSG)
And so, sharing God's teaching in the Bible on the subject with us so that we will imbibe this beautiful way of living and enjoy its blessings is the purpose of this book.
