Christianity today is under severe attack from all fronts. The youth are wholly disillusioned and are embracing atheism readily. Their hatred towards everything Christian stems from their observation of the Christian lifestyle. They watch us closely and blame our hypocrisy on the Bible and religion. We have become the modern-day Pharisees, condemning non-believers with a holier-than-thou attitude, preaching but not practicing and teaching a distorted view of the Bible. We are the white-washed tombs into which the modern youth have buried the Bible and Christianity. To many, the cross no longer signifies the message of salvation but the crucifixion of the truth not practiced by Christians. The world has lost the truth and believes a lie because we have failed to live up to it. It is time that we live a Bible-based life and restore to the world what Christ came to give.
