Living in godliness is about living in God's righteousness through Jesus Christ. These Christian's focuses are on Christ alone and are not involved in self-indulgence. Their lives have been patterned after Jesus Christ. God's righteousness alone is what believers depend on through their walk with God by faith. The godly live as citizens of Heaven here on earth with the expectation of the return of Jesus Christ. It is impossible to live a righteous life without practicing a godly lifestyle. When a Christian pursues godliness, it enables the individual to live in full potentials. Spiritual maturity comes from studying the Word of God and acting upon it. These Christians flourish in and out of season because they have harmony with God. Some of the attributes of living in godliness include growth, obedience, discipleship, integrity and sacrifice. God's Word is reminding Christians of the godly behaviors expected from God's people and emphasizes the role of the Church as a pillar ordained by the living God.
