Humans generally are afraid to die, especially when they did not live their lives well. They wish they will have more time to do most things they would have loved to do. Unfortunately time waits for no one. Some wish that time can rewind itself so that they can start life all over again. And if you look at life, time flies. Ten years is just like ten months now. You would think you have time and before you realize ten years have passed and you wonder how the years just passed by you without you achieving what you really wanted to achieve. The moment many begin to cross fifty they begin to think serious of the afterlife. They worry about their health. They worry about money, children and many other things. Somebody divided life into three stages. Your childhood to youthful years he calls it your learning years; then your youthful to adult life are your earning years; and when you are getting old are your yearning years. This is when you yearn to have certain things in life or should have done certain things in life. The truth of the matter is, every human would love to live satisfied and die fulfilled. He would want to say like Paul 'I have finished my course' 2 TIMOTHY 4:7. But how many old people can boldly say those words that Paul said? Jesus the Christ lived a very satisfied and fulfilled life. At the cross he said 'It is finished!' Meaning, he has completed his assignment. That he completed the assignment that God gave to him. Notice that Jesus did not say 'I am finished!' Many people before they die either say 'it is finished' or 'I am finished!' Which group do you want to belong to before you die? You can join the Jesus Company. Jesus said 'It is finished!' JOHN 19:30 and he gave up the ghost as a champion. You can live satisfied! You can die fulfilled!
