Based on a screenplay by Howard Ashman
This book is more like a placeholder. It is a novelization book that is not really a novelization or a film script. Mostly it ties monochrome pictures that are stills from the Rick Moranis (1986) movie that was based on the play "The Little Shop of Horrors!"
It is specifically designed more as a keepsake than a stand-alone book.
For those interested, it also contains a special appearance by Steve Martin as the sadistic dentist.
In the original Jonathan Haze (1960) version, Jack Nicholson played the dentist’s victim.
The basic story is that during an eclipse of the sun, an alien arrives in the shape of flora. Seymour adopts the plant and names it Audrey II. Seymour gains fame and fortune, but at a price.
Little Shop Of Fun!

This book is a great movie tie in for the movie " Little Shop Of Horrors". There are black and white photos from the 1983 movie throughout the book that go along with the dialogue and descriptions. Reading this book provides an experience very similar to that of watching the movie. The story of Seymour Krelborn battling the evil man eating plant Audrey 2 is a classic! This is a comedy/horror story, and is extremely unique. This book is a must have for all fans of the movie!
